Eigen Digital ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you purchase and use the Job Application Tracker Google Sheets template (the "Product")

1. Data Collection and Usage

Because the Product is a Google Sheets template copied directly to your personal Google account, it operates primarily within your Google Workspace environment. However, to power its advanced features, maintain code integrity and fixes any reported bugs, the template's embedded Google Apps Script communicates with the Eigen Digital Tracker (JAT), a secure editor add-on managed by Eigen Digital. All information you input—including job roles, offer tracking details, contacts, and personal notes—remains strictly within your own Google account and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

1.1 JAT Editor Add-on

The template's embedded Google Apps Script securely interacts with JAT, as an installed editor add-on managed by Eigen Digital.

  • Stateless Processing (No Storage): When you execute a custom function or menu item, the JAT add-on uses the necessary Google services to run the requested logic. It does not collect, store, log, or retain any of your personal information, email addresses, or spreadsheet data. Once the function is executed and the result is sent back to your Google Sheet, the data is instantly dropped from memory.
  • Google Permissions: The permissions requested during initialization (Google Sheets, Google Calendar, ScriptApp, etc.) are used solely to allow the local template to read your inputs, pass them to the JAT add-on for processing, and apply the resulting automation back to your personal Google account.
  • Zero Third-Party Sharing: Because we do not store any data processed by JAT, your information can never be shared, sold, or accessed by third parties.

2. Google Apps Script and Permissions

The Job Application Management System utilizes embedded Google Apps Script to automate workflows (such as formatting, generating calendar events for interviews, and custom menu interfaces). To function, the script requires you to grant specific Google account permissions (OAuth scopes).


When you authorize the script, you are granting the script access to perform actions strictly within your own Google Account. The specific permissions required are:

Google Sheets (currentonly) View and manage spreadsheets that this application has been installed in.

This permisson allows the product to:

  • Create, read, update, and delete job application records.
  • Insert generated values such as Job ID and job creation timestamp into designated cells within the spreadsheet.
  • Clear content such as applications, companies, and contacts when you explicitly choose to reset the product.
Google Calendar See, edit, share, and permanently delete all the calendars you can access using Google Calendar.

This permisson is required only if you enable calendar synchronization. It allows the product to:

  • Create interview events in a dedicated JAT calendar.
  • Update interview titles, dates, and times when changes are made within the spreadsheet.
  • Delete interview events when they are deleted from the application to synchronization is disabled.
  • Keep your interview schedule synchronized between the spreadsheet and Google Calendar.

The application does not modify unrelated calendar events or calendars that are not associated with Job Application Tracker.

Google ScriptApp Allow this application to run when you are not present.

This permission allows the application to install and manage Google Apps Script triggers required for automation.
These triggers are used to:

  • Initialize the product interface whenever you open the spreadsheet.
  • Automatically synchronize interview event with Google Calendar on a scheduled bases.
Google Sheets UI Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications.

This permission allows the application to display custom user interface components within Google Sheets, including:

  • Custom menus that extends the product funtionality.
  • Dialog windows to prompt users for confirmation when resetting the product.
  • Informational dialog that shows more about the product and help documentation.
External Service Request Connect to an external service.

This permission allows the application to send external request to the Eigen Digital's License Verification Service over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections with the following data:

  • User's email address to verify license.
  • The application receives only the license verification result to enable features; no Google Sheets or Google Calendar data is transmitted through this request. The service returns only the verification result required to enable licensed features.

We do not sell, rent, or share user information with third parties for advertising purposes. Any data accessed through Google services is used solely to provide the functionality of the Job Application Tracker.

3. Google User's Data Protection

Eigen Digital is committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of Google user data.


We implement appropriate measures to secure user's information processed by the JAT Editor add-on, including:

  • No Storage of Google Workspace Data: Spreadsheet data, calendar data, and other Google Workspace information accesed by the add-on are processed only for the duration required to complete the requested operation and are not stored, logged, or retained on Eigen Digtal's servers.
  • Encrypted Communications: All communication between the Job Application Tracker, the JAT Editor Add-on, Google's services, and Eigen Digital's license verification service is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections to protect data during transit.
  • Restricted Access: Any personal information collected for license verification (such as your name, email address, and license key or order ID) is accessible only to authorized personnel who require access to provide customer support, verify licenses, and maintain the service.
  • Least-Privilege Access: The application requests only the Google OAuth permissions necessary to provide its documented functionality. These permissions are not used for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated purposes.
  • No Sale or Sharing of Google User Data: Google user data is never sold or shared with third parties for advertising, marketing, or profiling purposes.

4. Purchase Information

When you purchase the Product through our storefronts (Gumroad or Etsy), those third-party platforms collect standard payment and billing information. We only receive the information necessary to fulfill your order (such as your name and email address). We do not receive or store your credit card details.

5. Purchase Verification

To activate or verify your license for the Job Application Tracker, you may be required to submit a verification form.


Depending on the verification process, we may collect:

  • Your Name
  • Email Address (Google Account)
  • The order ID or license key

We use this information solely to:

  • Verify that you have purchased a legitimate copy of the product
  • Activate or validate your license
  • Prevent unauthorized distribution and piracy
  • Provide customer support

We do not sell, rent, or disclose this information to third parties except where required to process purchases, comply with legal obligations, or provide requested services.
